Now and so many days, Kosovo is facing power reductions as a result of the energy crisis.

And with these reductions, the economy is being damaged in the country, which say the damage caused by energy is huge. The damage is also being done in gastronomy and family economies, and the latter are forced to buy generators as a result of power outages.

The owner of the company “Meka”, Burim Piraj, said the lack of electricity brings big problems, saying modern equipment cannot work with any electricity, while adding that low electricity pressure poses big problems.

We have a lot of disruptions and it's not right for our institutions as rural areas to get us through much longer than urban ones. That's why the population is moving. Imagine that we, because of these pressures that we have directly due to the neglect of our institutions, as if we were moving to the urban area. It can't exist with generators, it has enormous costs. There are price hikes in raw materials, there are price hikes in transport”, Piraj says.

He said that generators spend about 500 euros a day and that this is unaffordable. The damage has also been caused by KEDs, who he says the procedures delayed in court, have forced him to give up prosecutions.

Try to imagine if “Meka” withdraws from the city of Sharr, Dragas, what will happen in that place? We have had injuries of thousands and thousands of euros, due to such legal procedures, which are protracted in Kosovo, we have given up following KED obligations, or the indictment against KEDS”, he said.

Pirray said that because it is rural even when there are no problems in other parts of Kosovo, they often face reductions of electricity.

“We have after several meetings with KEDS, we have had meetings mediated by municipal institutions by various MPs. Duda Bayle has been one of those who have organised meetings with KED and KESCO officials. Unfortunately, the same has been repeated and is continuing to repeat, even if we have big problems”, he says.

As a result of this crisis, demand for generator has increased for family and business. But even generator service has been growing these days.

This for Online Economy has been confirmed by Eron Hamza, who handles their service, said he said the demand for the repair of generators has increased.

The blast stopped for two days. It's been 20 years since they've been using it for nothing, and now they've been working it out. They haven't been using them in a long time, everyone needs it. But I have to do it from a service that hasn't started the weather in half an hour, I fix it. Now they're giving it too hard, the soul in the throat is, they're getting hard right away. That's fucked up, my oven's dead, he said EO.

Great damage is also causing Tahir Berisha, a barber in Pristina. He says that as a result, electricity reductions have had many difficulties and have been forced to buy generators.

There's not a job. I'm gonna have to turn my sister's generator on. Too much trouble, and we pay it and it doesn't. It's too bad. The job's been down a lot. We're getting driven by the current. There's no work for skiing. You had to buy the generator, so far we don't need it, now you have to buy it. Without the generator we can't work, the heat doesn't work. The equipment won't do, the climate won't do it, we're cool. Some lights, some makeup, no fern, no”.

Egzon Krasniqi said cutting power for gastronom is a problem.

They tell us 2 hours, and then it's going on 3-4 hours longer. It's a lot of weather, we haven't used it so far, but I'm gonna have to use it a little more often. We've been warned that the power has stopped. It's a lot of trouble, we have the camera, it gets cold, then it needs to start again”, he says.

The generator is a little bit bigger, the costs are much bigger. So we're also paying for electricity and fuel costs that need to be placed”, he said.
