MP from this subject, Paul Lekaj, at the table organised by this parliamentary group on this topic, said price hikes have become unbearable for citizens.
Despite rising prices, he said that wages and pensions have not been raised in the country for some time.
MP Lekaj has launched an initiative for a parliamentary debate on price hikes and no salary hikes.
Sakip Imer of the Competition Authority said the mandate of this authority is to maintain free competition in the market, so not as he said of the price hikes.
“We as authority do not have a role to adjust prices”, he said.
Representatives from the consumer and business associations are taking part in this table, which is being held in the Kosovo Assembly environments.
