On Wednesday, 22 December, the government announced that a series of other measures would take effect as of December 29th.
According to these measures, no more than 50 people are allowed at New Year's holidays, and all participants should be checked by COVID-19 certificates.
From December 29th to January 2nd, more than four people can sit at restaurant tables except those from the same family.
Cultural events allow a maximum of 1,000 people, while in others where people don't sit in chairs, no more than 100 people are allowed.
According to Czech health institutions, the number of new corruption cases has begun to decline.
The percentage of the Czech population that has received two doses of the vaccine is 61.4 percent, compared to 67.8 percent for all EU states.
Of November 22nd, only persons who have been vaccinated or cured of the disease in the past six months are allowed in restaurants, hotels and mass gatherings.
People who have received a dose of vaccine, and children aged 12 to 18, need a test No more than 72 hours of PCR entry into such places. It also requires weekly testing at the company for underexplicable employees.
Masks continue to be mandatory in all closed spaces, including workplaces and public transportation.
In the first two weeks of the new year, students and school staff will be tested twice a week if they are vaccinated or infected with COVID-19 in the last six months. The test will take place every Monday and Thursday.
