He has said he wants to have a legally binding agreement that defines the status of relations between Kosovo and Serbia by having mutual recognition.
Commenting on the appointment of British emissary to the Western Balkans, Stuart Peach, Kurti said the emissaries coming from the democratic West are always welcome, and this shows an additional interest in the Western Balkan region, namely for Kosovo and its report with Serbia.
“We want to have legally binding agreements and which defines the status of relations between Kosovo and Serbia by having mutual recognition at the centre, agreements except that it is binding for mutual recognition. The Emisars coming to us from the democratic West are always welcome, and this shows an additional interest in the Western Balkans region and specifically for Kosovo and its report with Serbia”, Kurti said.
Early this month Stuart Peach has been appointed Great Britain's special envoy for the Western Balkans. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had declared that Peach's appointment is part of London's continued commitments to stability and peace in this region.
In 2000, Peach has also been commander of NATO Air Force in Kosovo
In the role of special envoy, Peach will work with Western Balkan leaders, with other officials around the region and allies of Great Britain, the US and Europe to support and strengthen regional stability.
