In public discussion concerning this bill, the government leader said the election results and governance should not be corporate product, as according to him the same investors in the party, to return investment through tenders.
When a corporation gives millions for a politician, it wants to be in power tomorrow and win the multiple of this investment through tenders. Election results and governance should not be corporate product”, he said.
The amendments to this bill also considered EU Ambassador to Kosovo Thomas Szunyog necessary.
“The changes made this draft law are important and are aimed at identifying the shortcomings that have emerged so far. Reform strengthens the credibility of the elections. Financing political parties is of particular importance to the functioning of democracy. Political parties' finances should be clearer and transparent”, he said.
