Kurti: Agreement with Serbia should end within government mandate

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said in an interview with Voice of America that he hopes for an agreement with Serbia within his government's mandate, which coincides with American President Joe Biden's mandate and that of the current European Commission. “

Prime Minister Kurti also spoke about meeting developments in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, where he said the Government has not banned the dialogue, rather says they held two meetings in Brussels, where they had an agreement for reciprocity of the license plates.
Kosovo's former chief negotiator, Mrs. (Edita) Tahiri, mentioned several years ago that talks between Kosovo and Serbia were virtually halted when the territorial exchange project was tabled. So, it's not that we stopped dialogue, on the contrary, we had two meetings in Brussels and we had an agreement on reciprocity of the license plates, which is being implemented even while we're conducting this interview.
Meanwhile, the dialogue I believe is slowly, but safely, being placed on the right track, and they are the tracks of a legally binding agreement, according to European values with citizens as last-minute beneficiaries and at the centre to have mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia, which means that the reality is actually that of mutual non-recognition”.
