One hundredkg of cocaine seized in Durres, was in a banana-filled truck

The amount of drugs has reportedly been seized as bananas were discharged into a warehouse.

Drugs are suspected to have entered from the Durres seaport, where the truck has remained for about three days, and came from Ecuador with a load of bananas.

The banana container suspected of illegal cargo has been kept under surveillance by police, and the moment it was withdrawn to be sent to the destination, police have intervened.

It is learned that as a result of the police-monitored operation in co-operation with SPAK agents, two people of their own origin have been detained.
