22 years ago Dole was reassuring the Kosovo people that it would be well, while saying he is familiar with problems in Kosovo.
The US Senator had declared that Kosovars are good people and are happy that they are free.
I've been here almost 10 years, so I know the problems pretty well and I know Kosovars are good people and are very happy that they have little freedom. It's going to be better”, he said Dole.
Bob Dole, Kosovo's oldest friend, died this morning at the age of 98 while he was asleep.
Dole engaged early in American politics for Kosovo and played an important role in the process that led to the establishment of an independent state. For his contribution, a bust stays in Kosovo's capital.
