Haxhiu: Citizens in the dilemma whether they have seasonal flu or Omitron variant

Haxhiu said today at the Kosovo Assembly session that the following days will likely increase cases with this virus.

“Situate with the Covid-19 pandemic in the last month in our country has been prone to growth but was calm. However, the risk of worsening the situation warned by health experts turns out to be present in the coming days, and this is seen in the rise of the number of cases”, he said.

Haxhiu has also mentioned the high number of citizens affected by seasonal flu.

He said the situation with the seasonal flu in hospitals and the QKMF is alarming.

The most severe situation in the past month has been with seasonal flu, and there has been a time when our health system has only been taken care of for Covid-19 and other diseases have been overlooked, except for emergencies. Because of neglect, non-excilisation and poor management of seasonal flu in our hospitals and the QKMF is alarming”, he has said.

MP The PDK confirmed that from IKSHPK's data, from 6 December to 12 December, over 6 thousand cases of citizens affected by the seasonal flu have been recorded.

“According to the IKSHKP alone from December 6th through December 12th, over 60,000 cases of seasonal flu have been recorded. The number of cases of seasonal flu exceeds 20,000 cases. Symptoms of seasonal flu and Omitron variant are similar symptoms. So, fatigue, headaches, throat pain, throat scratch. The dilemmas of many citizens today who face these symptoms are whether they are affected by seasonal flu or infected with the Omitron” version, Haxhi said.
