As an example, today in the Hungarian power market HUPX, from Kosovo mainly imports electricity, the price for a megawat of electricity for basic energy has reached 222.49 euros for megawatts, while the price for per hour of peak energy at 258.46 euros for megawatts.
The extraordinary increase in demand for electricity during the winter season in Kosovo and the inability to ensure that this is provided by internal energy capacities has affected increased electricity imports in Kosovo, and according to warnings, this will affect the increase in electricity tariffs in Kosovo.
