All trade unions expressed their frustrations, and once they demanded that the Law of Salaries be implemented as soon as possible.
On this occasion they have indicated that they have cancelled the strike and the protests and have given government the deadline for the end of March the Law to go for approval in the Assembly.
The chairman of the Education Union, Nundman Jashari, said unity is needed to live the requirements for the Law of Salaries.
There are issues within it that can be raised. I expect to make a unique decision about what answer we can give to the situation. The SBASK broke the ice and the government was forced to dialogue with us, exactly the man who has the law on the table Minister Svechla. December 4th is coming and not discussing things past. Will we enter protests and strikes, or will we be content with that government is working?
Kosovo Police Chief Economist Imer Zeqiri voiced disappointment over the lack of health insurance.
There's no cop in the world without health insurance. We work post-war without health insurance. According to the Pension Law, police retire at the age of 55, and this has been important to the Kosovo Police because a retired police official retires from 90 euros that is very disturbing to us. For the Law of Salaries, I added it to the cofficiency”, he said.
Ymer Imer from SBASK said the deadline for discussion with the union will be the end of February, meanwhile in March the Law must go to the Assembly.
Zenun Sadiki from the Kosovo Coordination Service Union said the trade union intends that all be involved so the Law will not be returned by the Constitutional Court again. / EO
