It was 365 days, six hours and nine minutes long and yet quite short for the people of Kosovo, one of the youngest peoples in Europe, to whom misery, isolation and perspective were deepened.

The year 2021 had come with great hope. Undemia vaccines were being discovered in many different countries, and boring quarantines seemed to remain relics of the past. A political leader promising radical changes was coming to power in Kosovo. There was hope of opening new jobs with the arrival of new investors. There was hope for visa liberalisation by the EU. There was hope for social justice and equality. There was hope of a thorough wage increase. For affordable housing. And so on.

But he was disappointed!

The new political leader, Albin Kurti, shortly after he lowered himself to the position of Kosovo Prime Minister ʹ the most powerful position in Kosovo ʹ would take a series of highly prudent actions. And his actions would not be helped by a series of global cabs.

Election passion

Albin Kurti's party managed to win the extraordinary parliamentary elections on February 14th. And, Kurt, although it would be impossible for him to participate as an MP's candidate because of a punishment for dropping tear gas in the Assembly, he would hesitate to write his words and accept the party's nomination for prime minister.

At this point, the Kurdish word for the prime minister not to be elected by parties without being elected by the people was violated.
