Through a video message, Der Leyen said the vaccine against COVID-19 is the best defense.
“Precisely a year ago, vaccine against COVID-19 began in Europe. We have come a long way. More than 78 per cent of adults in the EU have already been vaccinated. Increasing the number of infected, and especially the rapid spread of the Omikron variant, make the vaccine even more important”, she said.
Day Leyen appeals to all European citizens for vaculation, while special attention has cost the third dose.
“Vaxination, including additional doses, is currently our best defence. To protect ourselves and others. This is our best chance to defeat this 148x1> virus, she appealed.
