After Zaev's resignation, the entire government must have new mandates

Last night's resignation of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, in fact, means the resignation of the entire government. According to Article 93 of the Constitution of Northern Macedonia, Zaev must now write to announce the Speaker of the Parliament, while then the procedure for the election of the new government follows. Article 93 of Macedonia's Constitution says “... [...]
Article 93 of Macedonia's Constitution says “... the resignation of the prime minister, his death or his permanent obstruction in carrying out his duties, brings the government's resignation. The government, to which the vote of confidence has been voted, has given the resignation or mandate of which has been suspended due to the distribution of the Parliament, remains in office until the new government is elected”.
So, officially and legally, it submits Telegram Macedonia, the prime minister and the current government continue to work until the president of the state shares the mandate for forming the party candidate government -- the parties that have the majority in the Parliament. Later, the new prime minister's mandate -- in the 20-day term from the day of receiving the mandate -- should present the programme in the Assembly and propose the composition of the new government.
Following yesterday's results of the second round of local elections and the convincing loss of LSDM candidates, Zoran Zaev resigned both from the prime minister's post and LSDM leadership.
I take responsibility for myself. I resign from the position of prime minister and LSDM chairman. I congratulate all progressive citizens who fought hard for integrated North Macedonia”, Zaev said last night.
However, he added that the parliamentary majority is stable and that it expects even to grow, that the mandate for the composition of the new government remains in the hands of the LSDM, and that the four-year term of the coalition with DUI must be completed. There is no need for early parliamentary elections, Zaev said last night.
On the other hand, opposition party leaders during the pre-election campaign have announced new parliamentary majority, new government and early parliamentary elections. /Telegraphy/
