Under Iranian law, if the family forgives a defendant, the death penalty could be turned into prison sentences or release. But this was not the case of 27-year-old and his 33-year-old boyfriends.
According to “Amnesty International”, 246 death sentences were executed in Iran last year alone. One of them was performed in public.
