American senators welcome my proposal for the establishment of a permanent American military base.
The bilateral meetings on the second day of participation at the Halifax International Security Forum concluded with the US senator group meeting, participating in the forum.
Along with the president of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, as well as Z. Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Donika Gervalla-Scharis met senators James E. Rich, Jeanne Shaheen, Joni Ernst and Chris Coons.
Besides other topics, the meeting was discussed and supported by US senators, and my idea of the presence of a permanent American military base in the Republic of Kosovo.
They said they would continue to promote this idea in any instance of the decision making of the American state.
The delegation commended us for the 10th anniversary of the State Partnership with the Iowa National Guard, as well as expressed thanks for Kosovo's contribution with the co-operation of the Kosovo Security Force with American troops in Kuwait.
Also contributing to the management of the refugee crisis from Afghanistan.
On behalf of the Ministry of Defence, I once again expressed readiness for US support in every case and situation.
