The Federation of Kosovo Health Unions has indicated that Thursday on November 25th they will hold an 8-hour general strike.
From this Federation have warned that strikes and other union actions will be ongoing unless the draft draft law is drafted in co-operation with trade unions and implemented by 2022.
“Sic you know long ago we did a symbolic protest in the only hope that the president and prime minister will reflect and at least invite us to the talks on laws pertaining to the welfare of the entire population. We've come out today to say stop this nontransparance and we've come out to announce that if the law of the wages doesn't go this year, this protest will now turn into more severe union reactions. I have the honour and satisfaction that I will not end with so much”, the chairman of the Federation of Health Unions of Kosovo, Blerim Syla, had said during a protest on November 8th of this year.
Protests and strikes have also warned education workers.
The latter will protest December 4th before the Kosovo government.
The SBASK chief, Nundman Jashari, has declared that if their demands are not accepted, the December 18th protest will be even more massive.
It has warned the entire education system of its own if the Law for Salaries is not implemented.
While the Independent Private Sector Union has also made a decision Wednesday to protest before the Ministry of Health.
The protest will be seen as a sign of discontent for not sharing additions for hospital and QMF technical workers, as well as for doctors who will receive 10% of the pay extensions for November and December.
