Aleksandar Vuciq has returned to claims that Kosovo authorities will soon try to take over Valaic's electricity substation in northern Kosovo, “under the pretext of energy billing”.
In four municipalities in northern Kosovo, Serbs make up the majority of the population, while the citizens of these municipalities have not paid for electricity since 1999.
Vuciq again came up with the idea to expect this to happen after November 6th.
I've said that this is possible to be done by this date, due to attitude toward operators there. They will try to use energy billing, I am almost sure it will be done for political purposes and has nothing to do with energy”, he said, while urging Pristina not to try to take that step.
The Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government announced that its director, Petar Petkovic, has talked with German Ambassador Thomas Schieb, and has informed “of problems in implementing energy deals of 2013 and 2015, and of Pristina's obligations regarding the registration of two Serbian companies and their licensing for supply, distribution and energy sales”.
