Vuciq said the internationals would say Serbia is not forgetting the past in the event it seeks union with Republika Srpska.
“Imagine that one of us said Republika Srpska and Serbia should join. My question is, do you know how much they'd react? They would react immediately. So the same thing would explain to us for a second that we are people of the past and that we are the burden of the Balkans to bring crisis and everything else”, Vuciq said.
The Serbian president said that for this reason he is convinced that Serbia should not recognise Kosovo's independence. But he added that it's important that we listen to each other when we think differently”.
When we started the dialogue, everyone had the opportunity, like today, to express their opinion. I know we weren't white angels, but I think an external factor was key to the collapse of Yugoslavia”, Vuciq told Pink TV.
Vuciq said he understands Serbia lost in Kosovo during 1961-1991.
