The Kosovar Motorisation Association AMRKS along with the Temple Academy, the Institute for Road Safety and Research in Transport, the Kosovo Police and the Ministry of Environment from 18 November to 21 November have marked the World Day of Memorial of Victims in road traffic accidents.
This day at the center of the spotlight had reduced the speed of moving to low traffic speed, which has the potential to prevent many serious deaths and injuries, in particular pedestrians and all other street users, children, older and disabled.
Otherwise, in the January-July 2021 period in Kosovo as a result of accidents have lost 65 people's lives and injuries have claimed over 80,000 people.
According to Kosovo Police statistics, in 2020, as a result of road accidents have killed nearly seven people per month, while this year the figures show an increase in which over nine people have died each month.
