On the other hand, Ambassador Szunyog said that the EU general report on elections in Kosovo is expected to be published next year.
“The EU also has observer teams for this round, we have dozens of long and short-term observers. Their report will be released Tuesday, and we are waiting for the general election report to be available next year. I want to stress the need for changing the election law, some problems have been highlighted as for parliamentary elections as local ones, I think this should be viewed as priorities by the Parliament Government. There have been various recommendations since 2017, 2019 and 2021. I'm sure there will be other recommendations. It is time for Kosovo to address its weaknesses in legislation”.
These statements were issued after a visit to the poll at the Philological Faculty, where Szunyog expressed satisfaction with the prosperity of local elections in the second radin.
Everything's going well, people at locations are trained and are doing professional work. Everything's going really well, and I'm impressed. They warned that turnout is less than in the first round, I hope that people will participate more, that it is the opportunity for citizens to influence their community. I call on citizens to vote”.
