Regional majority in Macedonia failed, but jeopardised the entire region

The northern Macedonia Assembly last night did not endorse the country's government's no-confidence motion with the initiative of the opposition and the Besa Movement, which abandoned the parliamentary majority, and prompted many reactions in the country and the region. The alleged opposition majority were named anti NATO, anti-US, anti-American, but also against recognition of the Republic of Kosovo and the Ohrid Agreement for reasons of the extremist party “Levica” programme (left), whose two MPs were crucial to reaching 61 out of 120 deputies throughout Skopje.
Part of the Republic of Northern Macedonia's European and Euro-Atlantic perspective firing squad were VMRO- DPMNE, BESA, LEVICA, ALEANCA and ALTERNATIVA.
MPs from these parties last night tried to jeopardise the collapse of government and promote early elections with cases also jeopardised opening talks with the European Union in December of this year.
The decline of the progressive majority, and then reforming the government, was as dangerous as going into the election because December's chance of opening talks with the European Union was being lost.
Prime Minister of Holland Mr. Mark Rutte, president of France Mr. Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Mrs. Angela Merkel gave clear signals that Northern Macedonia needs stability, the government devoted westward, the power interested in strengthening relations with NATO and, above all, keeping the course westward, to continue efforts to respect the Prespa Agreement, the good neighbourly agreement with Bulgaria and the continuation of reforms in the country, these basics to open talks with the EU this December 15th.
The new majority <x0-regressive majority” that failed last night in the absence of MPs' numbers in the Assembly, warned by VMRO- The DPMNE and Levica supported “are closed” also by the Alliance, Alternative and Besa, in case of success, would damage the European path of the Republic of Albania because Tirana is in a package of launching negotiations with the European Union along with Northern Macedonia.
We remember that the majority warned by Hristian Mickoski of VMRO and Dimitar Apasevi of Levica and supported by Ziadin Sela of Aleana, Afrem Gashi of the Alternative and Bilall Kasami of Besa in case of voting last night in the Parliament also risked reopening disputes with neighbouring Greece and Bulgaria, through violation of the much-earned Prespa Agreement and sacrifice on the part of the Zaev-Ahmeti government and disrespect of the agreement for good neighbouring Bulgaria.
The main parties of “majority regress”, V MRO-DPMNE and Levica in domestic opinion, but also internationally, are well-known for their positions against the Ohrid Agreement and the break-up of tensions between Albanians and Macedonians, and with this breakup of the country's stability and its departure from the main opening of negotiations with the European Union, and at the same time implementing all already launched reforms in the best interests of all citizens without any distinction of ethnicity.
One of the pillars of the Levica programme is also the recognition of the Republic of Kosovo and the annulment of the amnesty for KLA.
