So said at the conference “The rise of prices in the market and consumer protection”, organised by the Institute for Development Policy, (INDEP).

Dardan Abazi from INDEP stressed that consumer complaints are numerous for rising prices without warning from businessmen. As he put it, in some cases there are also doubts about such expensive card deals, the Economic Bulletin reports, says Periscope.

However, the number of complaints by consumers addressed to the Ministry of Industry, Intervention and Trade (MINT) is extremely low.

According to this ministry from January to September, only 19 complaints have been filed, until from September until the prices have increased, no more than 4 complaints from consumers.

Meanwhile Zef Dedaj on this table stressed that it is evident that there are price hikes, but according to him it is being detected by imported goods from abroad.

If we're importing goods that means we're importing price increases. Fortunately for the current there is no increase. As for rising fuel prices and others this has happened and has been proven by the AK. However, it is disturbing to raise prices for basic products, which include bread, food oil, meat and others”, he said.

According to Deday, it has particularly affected the rise in electricity and oil prices.

The chairman of the Kosovo Chamber of Economics (OEK), Berat Rukiqi, said that price hikes are the subject that should be constantly addressed, until he added that businesses are mostly affected.

He has encouraged businesses to raise wages for workers, until he stressed that some companies are already doing so.
