President Biden congratulates Albanians on November 28th: Albania a friendly country, fight corruption

On paper, Biden went among other things that Albania is a close US friend country, an important ally of NATO, and a new member of the UN Security Council.

It stresses it will continue to support Albania, while saying “fight corruption to ensure a transparent and equal climate of entrepreneurship”.

The White House chief has also conveyed congratulations to all Albanian people for this day, while stressing that the US is proud to call Albania a friend and ally country.

Dear Mr. President,

On your Independence Day, I wish Albania on behalf of the American people!

This year we commemorate the thirty-year anniversary of the restoration of our diplomatic relations and celebrate a friendship based on family ties and history, as well as on our democratic values and devotion to human rights, which we share.

What Albania has achieved since 1991 is impressive.

Today, Albania is a close friend of the United States of America, an important ally of NATO, and a new member of the UN Security Council.

Albania is also showing the world its great hospitality by expecting both a safe haven for Afghans at risk.

The United States of America will continue to support Albania as you strengthen your democratic institutions, fulfil important reforms in the justice sector, fight corruption to ensure a transparent and equal climate of entrepreneurship for Albanian and foreign investors, as well as as to pursue your European future.

Our growing bilateral trade and investment relationship, especially in the important energy sector, is key to Albania's recovery, as well as to deepen our partnership.

I want to congratulate the Albanian people, even on behalf of all Americans, on a peaceful Day of Independence!
