George Robertson, former defence secretary from the Laborist Party that had led Naton to the most important time for Kosovo Albanians from 1999 to 2004, said Putin had made it clear at the first meeting that Russia wanted to be part of Western Europe.
“They wanted to be part of that safe and prosperous West,” he said, The Guardian, translated into Albanian Periscopi.
