Lajcak said after the meeting he is continuing to prepare the meeting between Kurti and Vuciqi, but that he wants results from this meeting.

This week I have met Prime Minister Kurti twice and talked to President Vuciq. The reason is not just the meeting between Kurti and Vucciki, we are working in this direction, but the reason is the result of this meeting. We want positive results.

The two leaders have previously held two meetings, but without any positive results from these” meetings.

Pos Kurti, Lajcak today also met with the country's president, Vjosa Osmani. According to the ZPRK communiqué, Osmani has stressed that the success of this process is not only important for the Republic of Kosovo, but also for the entire region.

It confirmed once again that Kosovo remains a committed and constructive party in the dialogue. In particular, she stressed the need for clear conveying the message that the epilogue of this process should be mutual recognition”.

At the meeting, the president also stressed the urgency of addressing destabilising trends in the region, noting that recent developments in the region cannot be seen only by prism of Western Balkan issues, but as a direct countering of values, which the European Union represents and democratic societies.

The approach to the communiqué reportedly has highlighted the need for EU activism in increasing the credibility of the enlargement process and confirming the European future for Kosovo and the Western Balkans.

“He stressed that there is room for progress within dialogue, as he targeted the strategic importance of this process for the entire EU”.
