Kurti has indicated that Kosovo's Declaration of Independence is not meant as “independence from Albania, but as release from Serbia”.
In the case of Kosovo and Albania, I would never imagine our union causing war to do so or to cause undemocratic conflicts of any kind. On this issue, I would like to stress the fact that Kosovo's Declaration of Independence has never been meant as independence from Albania, but as liberation from Serbia and we will never forget that. So, all Albanians who would like this union, he's never against someone else and it's never the intention to make us bigger, but to contribute to welfare and freedom, so as an expression of freedom, not as an expression of aggression. As prime minister, on this mandate, as you stressed, I've won the “bility for work and justice and these are my first and most important priorities”, Kurti said.
The prime minister made these comments at an institute in Austria called Karl-Renaner.
