The government of the Republic of Kosovo and Albania at today's meeting of the two governments that were held in Elbasan also agreed on mutual recognition and recognition of diplomas, certificates and scientific degrees issued by institutions of higher education, as well as to work jointly for a joint cabinet.
Education and Sports Minister Evis Kushi said that this agreement facilitates procedures and cuts deadlines for recognition of diplomas and certificates and scientific degrees.
According to her, everything will be done in accordance with the legislation and the framework of the two countries' qualifications.
“I am very optimistic because this comes as a necessity after many years when Albanian youth graduates of educational institutions of Albania and Kosovo unfortunately face delays in recognising and counting their diplomas. Therefore, we by respecting the legislation in force of both our countries by respecting the framework of Albanian, Kosovar qualifications and by respecting all international principles and conventions in this area, but above all by being initiated by our common interest we have decided to facilitate procedures and cut deadlines for recognition of diplomas, certificates and scientific degrees given by our educational institutions, thus avoiding all existing bureaucracy and exploiting the progress we have made in recent years. This is an agreement that actually allows within 14 days to respond to the authenticity of diplomas when this is required from the other side and within 20 days the entire process of recognition and recognition” is carried out, Kouchi stressed.

Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Arberie Nagavci said that through the agreement on mutual recognition and assessment of diplomas and certificates and scientific degrees, procedures and time are being cut.
Nagavci also indicated that it is time for both of the ministries of counterparts to work for a joint minister.
“It cuts formal procedures of time and all the loads in proportion to the recognition of diplomas and academic degrees for students and other persons who have high degrees won at the institutions of higher education in Kosovo and Albania. These reliefs that this agreement is bringing are of interest to citizens of both countries. ... "In terms of the joint actress, I certainly appreciate all the commitments so far in the common curriculum and also a preliminary minister, but it's time to work together and this will also fulfill a commitment we've only started with joint commissions”, Nagavci said.
