Kosovo police have announced that they have launched investigations into the death of a prisoner at the KKUK Pulomogy Clinic.
Through a 24-hour report, police have suggested that his body was sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine.
“QKUUK, Pristina 12,11,2021 - 15:45. A male named CKUK reportedly passed away, the same man was imprisoned in the Gerdovc High Security Prison and was being treated in the Pulmology Department. By order of the prosecutor, the lifeless body was sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine for Obligation. The case is being investigated”, the report says.
Otherwise, the Kosovo Correcting Service has announced that around 11:00 yesterday, at the Pulmology Clinic in SHSKUK, a prisoner with the S.B. initials has died.
According to the SHKK, 61-year-old has since been accepted with arterial diagnosis, for which he has been treated, and after regular checks at the centre's doctor, cardiologist, and other professional visits.
After the deterioration of the situation, in 05.11.2021, at the recommendation of the caretaker doctor has been submitted to the SHSKUK and has been hospitalised in the Pulmology Clinic. Despite ongoing medical efforts and treatment, the prisoner has passed away.
The same was sentenced to ten years in prison for the criminal offence; War crimes against civilians were being held in the High Security Prison. The medical staff has prepared the necessary documentation regarding the case. The autopsy will verify the cause of death”, said in notification
