Unless this railway line will complete a dream in the historic sense of Albanians, it will do an important job towards the economic union of the two countries and economic development of the two countries, because it connects the port of Durres, intended to develop at a cargo transport port, with Pristina and through this line it will have direct communication with the ten-nation corridor through the lines connecting Pristina and Nis, then Sofia and Istanbul away to Asia, and to the north through Leschak with Belgrade and Sofia further<1th> he has said.
Meanwhile, his counterpart, Mirlinda Ballaku, said the countries aim at connecting between railways to corridors in the Balkans, but also in Europe.
The “Since both governments are specifically and financially engaged with their 2022 budget to provide funds for the feasibility study for the upcoming establishment of railway from Durres to Pristina. We aim today to become part of the corridors within the Balkans and with Europeans, and undoubtedly the railways are the most efficient and friendly mode of transportation to the environment”, Ballaku has said.
