Fetah: The Assembly is breaking the law for RTK, procedure for new youth board from zero

Lawyer Faton Fetah, invited to the RTK news edition to comment on the selection of the new RTK board, has said that this ad hoc commission of the Kosovo Parliament is not acting in accordance with the Law on Public Television. “As long as such an action is not prohibited (board selection) [...]
“As long as such an action is not prohibited (the board selection) and on the other hand there is a lack of a decision on adopting the provisional measure on the part of the Constitutional Court and, in their absence, legal opportunity for the start of the recruiting procedures of the new RTK board”, he has said initially.
According to him, the Constitutional Court has announced an official announcement on its website, where it has announced that it cannot make a decision regarding the decision of the pre-missors to suspend the controversial decision of the Parliament, which today and four months ago dismissed the RTK board. This, according to Fetah, has to do with the lack of corumm in the fact that the Constitutional Court is already in the absence of its two members.
“We are in a situation where we cannot expect the Constitutional Court to take such a temporary measure, while we see that RTK, by law, has developed the recruiting procedure of new board members, but on the other hand, we see that the Parliament has been delayed to appointment the ad hoc” commission, he added.
We are currently on an unknown ground legally, and the ad hoc Kosovo Assembly Commission is not acting in accordance with the RTK law. As a result, the selection procedure of new board members will be announced no constitutional. The process is currently out of legal framework and, as such, should be converted to zero to restore legitimacy from the pre”, has been completed by lawyer Fetah.
