A media report says the Western Balkans has great economic potential, which is best opened through regional economic co-operation and the fulfillment of European standards.

“Talks on withdrawal from state-level institutions create regulatory and legal uncertainty that will harm RS and undermine the economic prospects of BiH and the region. It's in everyone's interest to get back to table”, the embassy points out.

Declarations by the US Embassy in Sarajevo come after meetings that Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Gabriel Escobar has been held with members of the BiH Presidency, the College of the House of Representatives and the People's Chamber of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

Deputy Assistant Secretary Escobar reminded members of the BiH Presidency and representatives of the BiH and FBiH parliaments of the need to convince citizens of their commitment to peace and progress in BiH as a sovereign state.

“Dialog and work through institutions on rule of law, electoral and economic reforms will build a more functional BiH, in which both entities and Brcko district advance, and the government at all levels is able to meet obligations and a European perspective” concludes the communique.
