The drill laments: With 39 people we can't make foreign policy

Foreign Affairs and Diaspore Minister Donika Grovalla has said that Kosovo is unable to make foreign policy, as she said there are only 39 people employed in the dictatorship it leads, dealing with diplomacy themes. Gervala said to parliament's Foreign Affairs Commission that there are 130 people [...]
Gervala said at the Parliamentary Commission on Foreign Affairs that there are 130 people employed in administration and other services. This number, the top diplomat said it has to shrink.
The first “, we have a total disproportion among the so-called staff dealing with political directors. A total of 39 people work there, while there are 130 people in other aid services such as administration and others. So it is imperative that the administration decrease and increase the number of people working on foreign policy themes. With 39 employees dealing with foreign policy themes, the Republic of Kosovo cannot make foreign policy, it is impossible, because there is no chance for research, analysis, for documents that are needed to be drafted. We've been trying to cover a large part through the cabinet, but this doesn't work long-term”, Gervala said.
She also stressed the question of professionalism of MPJ officials. As Gervalla said, some show willingness and professionalism to work, while others are not interested.
The second “is the issue of real professionalism of people working in the MPJ. We also have a huge disrepute among people who show willingness and professionalism to work and know and want to work, and a large number of people who are in MPJs because they have their appointment there, but are not interested in taking any process before”, Grovar said.
She mentioned a reform that should take place in the dictatorship she leads.
