Bosnian politician Izetbegovic meets with Erdogan: He Can Help Us

Bakir Izetbegovic, head of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) and vice president of the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Assembly, said he has discussed “all” at the meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan, especially about the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that the meeting has lasted two hours. “Erdogan has good relations [...]

“Erdogan has good relations with Vuciqi, even with Dodik, and he is a successful man, so it should be used. Instead of creating problems that will expel children from this country and the Balkans, let's create a more normal state, build the Sarajevo-Belgrade highway, do different good things where the Turkish side can help us”, Izetbegovic told N1.

Asked whether Turkey's president has the idea of how the current crisis could be overcome, Izetbegovic said he should not agree with Zoran Milanovic's idea of “the older brothers”.

So, what can we help, he asked. I said he (Erdogan) is good with the Serb side and certainly very well with the Bosniak side. That he can get into that problem and try to show us a remote opportunity because Erdogan is a genius. From an unseen Oriental city, he made modern Istanbul perfectly decorated. From a disorderly economy, he made one of the best economies in the world. He's a man who knows how to know and his associates are going to enter this relationship in BiH, they're going to know him with everything, and maybe he can from far away, and with his experience he knows what we don't see here, because the trees are right before our nose, as they say, ”, Izetbegovic said among other things.
