Austria, 7,200 euros fine if it doesn't do anti-Condivus vaccine

Austria will further toughen laws in favour of inoculation. Following the decision to make mandatory vaculation, which takes effect on February 1st, the government is preparing a law that fines those who refuse to be vaccinated. According to the draft Austrian host “Die Presse” referred to as Euractive, fine [...]

According to the draft Austrian subx0> Die Presse” which refers to euractiveThe fine could reach 7,200 euros.

The new law envisions that all Austrians who refuse inoculation be called to the district administration authorities. If they ignore the call twice, they will be fined 3600 euros. If this violation puts other people in “serious risk”, or if they continue to ignore the order, the fine amounts to up to 7,200 euros.

The bill will be submitted on December 6th, but “Die Presse” has previously received the draft preliminary proposal.

However, some elements remain unclear, especially if someone continues to refuse the vaccine even after paying the fine. According to “Die Presse”, one of the disputed solutions is that those who cannot prove that they are vaccinated will receive a fine every six months.

According to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), 65.2% of Austria's population has been vaccinated.

The announcement to make vaccines mandatory has increased divisions in Austrian society. President Alexander van der Bellen was among the first to warn that “exists a major risk that divisions are deepening”.

The opposition opposition opposition to vaccines has been increasingly strengthened by FPão, the right populist party, which had previously lost voter support because of a series of corruption scandals. When government announced decision on mandatory vaculation, party leader FPה, Herbert Kickl, said that “from today, Austria is a dictatorship” and called for mass protests that would oppose that decision.
