About 200 thousand euros have been spent on the purchase of new equipment for this operating room, but, another year after renovations were completed, it remains out of place.
This is the only hall for conducting operations at the Plastic Surgery Clinic at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo.
In the absence of functionalisation, plastic surgery is performed in other QKUKU) clinics.
Director's duty to the Plastic Surgery Clinic Violet Zatriqi says REL that the hall does not meet the operating conditions.
It's completely impossible to fix because it's outside the operating block. The ceiling is below level. The light cannot be raised, it should be at the right level, not over the head of the operator”, she says.
These works were performed by the time the director of Plastic Surgery was Zeynep Bouya. He did not want to explain the alleged defects in the hall.
I don't have time and I'm not interested in interviews”, he said,
The walls of the hall are starting to collect molds. The washing machine that needs to be used by doctors has begun to deteriorate and rust until water flows from the above floors.
The location where surgery should be performed has access to the corridor where patients or family members move. This, according to doctors, increases the risk of infection.
