A teenager has suffered terrible third degree burns on his leg after attempting a challenge in TikTok inspired by Netflix's hit series “Squid Game”
Aiden Higgie, 14, was upset at closing down in Sydney earlier this month when he decided to try the challenge associated with the Korean series.
The challenge involved making a thin honeybiscote and then carving the shape using a pin without breaking it.
Like teenagers around the world, Aiden tried to make her honey cookie using a recipe found in TikTok by combining water, bicarbon soda, and sugar in a plastic cup. But as he melted the mixture into a cup and in a microwave, it exploded sending melted sugar to flow beneath his feet.
When he took out his cup, he blew it up”, his mother Helen told the Daily Telegraph.
The “la burned her hand, and because it was sugar and plastic melted together, it took off from her knee down and stuck it and kept on burning, burning, and burning. It was like coffee and burning up to the nerves”
