Statistics Agency reveals data: Kosovo trade deficit increased in September for 43%

Data from Kosovo's Foreign Trade goods shows a higher trade deficit for 43.1% in September 2021, in proportion to the same period in 2020, worth 351.3m euros, compared to the 245.5m euros deficit in 2020. [...]
Exports reportedly cover import by 16.5%.
Export of goods in September 2021 was worth 69.3m euros, while import of 420.6m euros, which is an increase of 66.2% per export and 46.4% per import, compared to the same period in 2020.
According to key export data: 29.4% of exports make up basic metals and articles; 24.4% make up different products produced; 9.8% make up plastics, tires and products; 7.9% make up plant products; 7.2% make up prepared food, drink and tobacco; 5.9% make up minerals; 33% make up machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment, etc.
While, according to key group data for import: 16.3% make up transport tools; 13.1% make up minerals; 12.4% make up basic metals and articles; 10.5% make up prepared foods, drinks and tobacco; 10.2% make up machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment; 6.8% make up chemical industry products; 6.8% make up plastics, tires and items from them, etc.
Kosovo exports to EU countries (27) reached 19.3m euros, or about 28.0% of total exports, with a 40.4% increase. Key partners for export of goods to the EU are: Germany (8.6%), Italy (5.8%), the Netherlands (2.4%), etc.
Kosovo imports from EU countries (27) stood at around 158.0m euros, or 37.6% of total imports, with an increase of 34.7%. Imports with higher turnout were from: Germany (11.4%), Greece (4.2%), Slovenia (4.0%), Italy (3.9%), etc.
In September 2021, Kosovo's exports with CEFTA countries reached 23.4m euros, or 33.8% of total exports, with an increase of 26.1%. Key export partners from CEFTA countries were: Albania (14.2%), Northern Macedonia (10.8%), Serbia (4.8%), and Montenegro (3.0%).
While, imports from CEFTA countries in September 2021 reached 78.8m euros, or 18.7% of total imports, with an increase of 26.1%. The countries with the highest share in import was: Albania (6.2%), Serbia (6.0%), and North Macedonia (5.0%).
Kosovo exports with other countries of the world reached 26.5m euros, or 38.2%. As more important partners from these export countries, it's worth mentioning: US (19.2%), Switzerland (6.6%).
While Kosovo's imports with other countries of the world reached 183.8m euros, or 43.7%. The countries with the highest share in import in this group were: Turkey (11.0%) and the US (10.9%).
