As Serbian media report, the Serbian prime minister's statement when asked by journalists whether he would sign recognition of Kosovo's independence by responding briefly: “Jo”, Telegrafi traces.
As Brnabiq explained, “in this phase, The EU and the US have not said there is no EU membership without Kosovo recognition, but that there is no membership without a long-term solution to the Kosovo issue”.
Brnabiq stressed that Serbia is committed to resolving the frozen conflict and that our country's “interest is peace and stability, as well as membership in the European Union”.
“Finding a compromise that would ensure lasting peace and stability and our European path is in Serbia's interest, because they will ensure that we continue to be economically strengthened”, Serbia's prime minister said.
She praised that there are no leaders in Pristina with vision and courage.
“It is possible that we lose the historical perspective because of this, which will not appear again for a long time. However, I hope it won't happen”, Brnabiq said.
