The temporary 3-center anti-damping measure is set for these companies: FSH “Sto Posto” and FSH “Becejka”.

These decisions are said to have been made after the demand of local producers.

After the request of local producers and the Commission's Proposal on Special Obligations in Imports, the Department of Commerce has begun investigating imports from Serbia and selling to the Kosovo Republic market for birds and animals. The investigation has been conducted in line with the Law for Anti-Magging Measures and Anti-balancing Measures”, said the Ministry of Economy's argument.

Industry and Trade Minister Roseta Hajdari has declared that she has made two decisions for antidamping protection measures against specific products imported from Serbia.

Hajdari has shown that the decisions involve importing the concentration of animals and birds until the other for the building block units.

“Today, October 8th, we have made two decisions for anti-damping protection measures against specific products imported from Serbia. One decision sets the 3-center-pound antidamping measure in imports of the concentration of animals and birds from Serbia. The next decision sets a three-center anti-damping measure for units of Serbia-born construction block”.

According to her, two decisions have been made in accordance with the Law on Anti-damping Measures.

“Decisions have preceded separate investigations and real analysis of the trade department, which has acted according to local manufacturer's demands. The launch of investigations is particularly based on the commission's proposal for assessing specific obligations in imports. Investigations have confirmed that products in question are sold at a lower price on the market in the Republic of Kosovo than on Serbia's domestic market as the country of origin”, Hajdari has said.

The director of the Department of Commerce, Zef Deday, has also spoken of these two decisions.

According to him, these decisions will have an effect on reducing imports from Serbia.

The fact that we have 3 cents and not 2 cents today is based on statistics. There could be room for 4, since there's space for change we've gone to 3. This will have an effect on reducing imports from Serbia. It won't affect the consumer. Six months from now if it needs four cents. This, which continues as temporary for six months, is then continued for 6 months”, he said.
