Prime Minister Edi Rama has spoken to the media after the Socialist Party's leadership meeting. One of the questions journalists asked was related to Albanian satellites “Albania 1” and “Albana 2” that will be raised in orbit, Rama's own statement yesterday at the parliamentary session.

Seeing a kind of irony in the journalists' question, Rama answered with irony: “Have patience, laugh that the health is and that it's good for everyone”

“Albania will have satellites soon to control order, there will be intelligent fears that will serve us. They are tools of new technology that will monitor a lot of things from the borders, to the construction, to the information that the state needs in the fight against narcotics trafficking, to agriculture crops, to many things, and to fight organised crime by having unimaginable monitoring capacities.

They'll avoid corrupt cops. You don't have to be a very developed place to make such a leap beyond imagination. The satellites will be very soon, as will the fears and increase the territory's control capacities in all aspects, for fires, for civilian emergencies,”, the prime minister added.
