Resigns continue at Mitrovica VV: Headship Member Gone

After losing local elections in Mitrovica, the VV's political subject has continued to resign.

VV leadership member in Mitrovica, Mergim Behram today has resigned from being part of the Movement.

Behram had, in recent moments, surprisingly supported Bahtir's candidacy for Mitrovica chairman, and the great support he offered had surprised many, who had even been told in many comments.

But behind all this support, there was something hidden, the appointment of Behram's sister-in-law as the director of the Social Peace. That seems to have been the main reason the activist was put in support of Agim Bahtiri.

Dear virtual friends, dear former colleagues, collaborators, fellow activists, dear friends, dear family.

Over the years, especially after declaring our country's independence, we were all witnesses to the justice-free, high degree of nepotism, corruption in society, tendermania, wild privatisations, lack of economic development, lack of foreign direct investment, the flight of more than 100,000 citizens from the country, the unilateral scandals of our governments... and on the other hand, we saw a political subject calling for the fight of these phenomena while opposed by successive powers, and reading the situation, as a citizen, we began to look at these developments in support of the change of Vetevendosje!

It was 2017 that I just completed my studies at the Bachelor level, and I decided to line up politically with the aim of helping to achieve change. As a young man confirmed by his over eight years of work in a grocery store, as an inexperienced young man in politics but with strong trust in change, I decided to join the municipal assembly competition in the 2017 elections, where I couldn't get more than 174 votes (for which I'm deeply grateful), which did not suffice to enter municipal assemblies and continue developing my political career.

Well, it wasn't written, and in the meantime, because of increasing work commitments and our family business I've never been able to get completely out of my commitments and contribute more. But we had a primary goal and that purpose that we achieved, and that's the huge change expected of February 14 which had almost become a mission for all, except for a cast or narrow circle that benefited at the people's expense, but that fortunately came to an end, and now I feel personally fulfilled when I know that at the head of my country there is a man who is undegradable, uncompetable and uncompetable to the bad phenomena in our society.

From now on, I see my contribution to society through work, production, which first thanks to God and my associates for 11 years has been going better and better every day.

I am thankful to every activist within the Movement who, with minor differences, has all been respectable in relation to me and I also believe and hope not to have caused someone to be known badly by me under certain circumstances for this five-year trip.

To avoid any possible misinterpretation, I want to point out that this is not a decision that relates to an ambition or a change of attitudes. So I'm going to fire my political activities for a certain time.

Yet, we will be activists for the rest of our lives!
