Pressed to FBiH against Prime Minister Kurti, Haxhi Hoti sentenced to 6 months in prison condition

Hoti charged that through a script published in “Facebook, he wrote that Albin Kurti has two ways, either to leave Kosovo or he can be killed, reports “Justice Trust”.

The case against him was pronounced Monday by the chairman of the court, Alltane Murseli.

Judge Murseli has indicated that the sentence on Hoti will not be executed unless the same commits another criminal act within a year's verifiation period.

It also made it known that the court has made this decision following the re-qualification of the criminal offense from “in the conduct of the murder affair”, from Article 172 concerning Article 32, paragraph 3 of the Penal Code, to <x2-> inciting divisions and failure to be patient” from Article 141, paragraph 1.

By contrast, the first - rate convict, Hagi Hoti, was not present during the proclamation of judgment.

Hoti was accused by the prosecution that through a post on the social network “Facebook” in December 2019, where it had written “Albin Kurti has two roads or let Kosovo go, or could be killed”, committed the criminal offence in carrying out the criminal murder act, reports “Justice Bettim”.

In this case, Prime Minister Albin Kurti had also witnessed on September 15th.

Otherwise, the accused Hoti was declared innocent at the initial review hearing held on 7 February 2020.

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina on January 23rd 2020 has filed charges against Haxhi Hoti, with the argument that he committed criminal work “in the conduct of the murder affair”, by Article 172 concerning Article 32, KPRC's paragraph 3.

According to the indictment, on December 28, 2019 the accused Hoti on the social network “Facebook” has made public appeal and push in the assassination of party chairman “Vetevendosje”, Albin Kurti, in his post “Albin Kurti has two roads or let Kosovo go or he can be killed”.

As stated in the accusation, the accused Hoti has compared the injured to the late John F. Kennedy, “John F. Kennedy was the interest of the American people to be president, but it was not the American state's interest to be president” as well as “Albin Kurti is the interest of the people of Kosovo, perhaps, but it is not the interest of the state of Kosovo to be Prime Minister”.

The prosecution claims that the accused Hoti has caused serious concern to the users of the social network “Facebook” in Kosovo and around the world.
