Dries have reportedly felt as far as Turkey, Egypt, Syria and Israel, and this earthquake occurred a week after another quake of 6.3 Magnitude in Crete, turning buildings into ruins.

The quake's episode is believed to be near the Dodecanese island of Rhodes.

The European-Mediterranean seismological Centre wrote on Twitter, saying: “The 6.4 earthquake was felt in the Mediterranean Sea and South Greece”.

Residents said their rooms shook as much as “from one side to the other”.
