I really felt it, it lasted 30 seconds”, a witness said in Lindos, in a post on the Mediterranean European seismological Centre website.
The U.S. Geological Monitor said the quake's power was 6.0 degrees of Richter and the EU's 37.9 kilometers below the surface. The quake also felt on several other Greek islands, including Crete and Santorini, state television reported.
Dries were also observed in the capital of Cyprus, Beirut, Lebanon, Cairo, Egypt, parts of Israel, the Palestinian Territories, and southern Turkey.
Greece's Crete was hit by two powerful earthquakes in recent weeks. One person died and buildings were damaged.
