Shkodran Nikqi, spokesperson for the Founding Prosecutor in Pec, has said that several incidents in the election process were reported today, but according to him, none of them had elements of the criminal act.
Nikqi has indicated that these incidents relate to photographing the vote.
Several incidents that we can say are isolated so far because there have not been elements of the criminal act, mainly cases that have been reported by leaders or observers to Kosovo Police for photographs of the vote, but after verification by members of police in suspected persons, there has been no such evidence, there has already been other cases, but in co-ordination with the state prosecutor has been estimated there were no elements of the criminal act. We can freely say that the quiet process has so far gone and without having to intervene the prosecution or the Kosovo Police”, he has said.
Nikqi has also indicated in which municipalities were reported to incidents related to photography.
A case in the Peja municipality, where the polling leader has reported to the Kosovo Police about the suspicion that a voter has photographed the vote, but after verification by Kosovo police has not proven that the vote has been photographed, while another case has been in the Yunik municipality, with cçrast not even there having been photographed. It's actually a process that's the same, there's been no case that had to be arrested either person or detainee, so far the quiet process has gone and I hope to continue so further”, he added.
