Memli Krasniqi on the party's 22nd anniversary: PDK is injured without Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselin

Krasniqi said that for 22 years, the Democratic Party of Kosovo has assumed the greatest political responsibilities to strengthen our democracy, our state and partnership with our allies.

He added that this anniversary is different in the absence of two party founders, Hashim Thaci and Kadri Wessel.

“In the footnote of this anniversary, the Democratic Party of Kosovo is injured, as its founders and leaders, Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselini, are not among us for the first time to mark this date”, Krasniqi said.

He added that although injured, they are more unique and more determined than ever, so that the mission and vision for the state and the society of Kosovo can be put to the right place.

Dear citizens,
Proud of its journey, for its political heritage, as hosting the war cause for liberation, for commitment to independence and statehood, the Democratic Party of Kosovo today marks 22 years of its establishment.
Congratulations, everyone.
After a great mass sacrifice, our sacred ideal for freedom and our liberation war as a project were successfully closed to enable the realisation of freedom in all its dimensions, as well as the materialisation of our state's independence.
Cultivating our political and civic freedom and our sovereign and democratic state were the foundations of our party's cause that at the beginnings of its political mission, as patriots, freedom fighters, intellectuals, from all sides of Kosovo founded the Democratic Party of Kosovo and walked together in this national project.
PDK leaders, together with Kosovo citizens, made extraordinary contributions for years to pave the way for independence by successfully completing the founding of the state in 2008.
What? The PDK and its people had a political mission and vision, manifested it in the establishment of our new state, on a solid, stable and invincible foundation, energizing the political design of statehood.
For the past 22 years, the Democratic Party of Kosovo has borne the greatest political responsibilities to strengthen our democracy, our state and partnership with our allies.
This way, The PDK has had difficulties, but much more successes. There was also defeat, but there was a great victory.
But above all things, The PDK has never stopped and no one will ever stop, because its mission, engagement and political values are in common with the aspirations of Kosovo citizens.
We are proud that together with citizens we have transformed Kosovo and given life to its developmental opportunities. And, we are willing and motivated to give Kosovo much more than so far.
In note of this anniversary, the Democratic Party of Kosovo is injured, as its founders and leaders, Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselini, for the first time, are not among us to mark this date. They are facing the final battle for the dignity of the Kosovo Liberation Army and the pure war of liberation, from which battle, we are convinced that they will come off victorious, to return to us as they are heroes.
Though injured, we are more unique and more determined than ever, so that our mission and vision for the state and the society of Kosovo can be put to the right place.
With pride in our past and our political values in these 22 years, today we have a mission for development, well-being and creating equal opportunities for Kosovo citizens, separately for our country's young and young. A mission aimed at raising our state to an equal rank between states and democratic states. That cultivates lasting and lasting relations with our strategic allies, the US, the European Union, the United Kingdom and other friendly countries. Focusing on economic development and opening up the growth perspective for every citizen. Which is guided and maintained by integrity, meritocracy, law and responsibility.
