Pristina's presidential candidate from the PDK, Uran Ismaili, has presented the project for the construction of Central Park, in the centre of the city of 8 hectares, reports Online Economy.
He has called it a project of great importance to him and citizens who will significantly improve the quality of life in the city.
For a few weeks I've been talking about Green Pristina. But this project is extremely important, so we're also very devoted to planning this project in the best way possible and changing our lives for good”, Ismaili said. “I want to make Pristina green town.
My biggest and most ambitious project for green Pristina is the project to build Pristina Central Park, Pristina's new lungs. My plan is that by October 2024, Pristina will have Central Park 8 hectares in downtown Pristina. The location of Pristina's central park will be between the city, along the Fadil Vokri stadium and Youth Palace”, Ismaili has said.
Ismaili has said he will make the shift of public administration buildings and parking lots.
I'll regeneration other public spaces, for their transformation into the big green spaces of our city. We only have one building, the former prison building, and we have it converted into a museum, to commemorate a painful period of our Pristina. The big parking lot behind the Youth Palace will be transformed into a park, with green spaces, walking trails, running and public amphitheaters. Central Park will offer new green paths, to give more oxygen to the city and citizens clean air and space for rest during the day”, he said.
Ismaili has invited all Pristina citizens to support his plan for Central Park with their vote this Sunday.
“Because by this vote, not only is the future mayor of Pristina elected but it is also decided on Pristina's future, which is green, healthy, digital and becomes a destination not only for its citizens, but for all who come and enjoy Pristina”, Ismaili said.
