Commenting on the arrival of Muslims to France, from countries once occupied and ruled by France itself, Marechal has said that this could change the history of states.
During its argument on the matter, she has said that Kosovo is a historically Serbian Orthodox country, but that it is “co-ordinated” over the years by Albanians “mysliminan”.
It's the demographic that makes history, just look at Kosovo. This Orthodox country, mostly Serb, has been colonised for decades by Muslim Albanians”, it has said among other things.
This statement, apart from making sense, has no historical basis.
For one thing, Albanians were not Muslims during the years prior to the Ottoman occupation and, rather, have had a Christian dominant majority. And secondly, it was the Serbs who tried to colonise Kosovo during the 1990s with the chauvinist policies of Slobodan Milosevic's ethnic cleansing.
