The Ferronkelite factory has temporarily stopped working, due to the energy crisis in Europe and the rise of electricity prices in global markets.

The mayor of the Darena municipality, Ramiz Ladrovci, announced this by means of a Facebook post.

He writes that the work of Ferronkel will last until we find a solution.

After meeting with chief manager of the Fernikil Company, Mr. Genc Berybashi, I regret to be informed that due to the energy crisis in Europe and the rising electricity price for four times on global markets, the work in this company is temporarily terminated. The situation of the Fernikol work break until we find a solution, for us as a local power, is very painful news, for the situation that will be created for workers and their families. At a meeting with Mr. Berybashi showed all my concern and solidarity with the serious situation, and I wished that the sooner energy prices on global markets will be stabilised and the Fernikli company will operate successfully as if so far, as a source of income for thousands of families of our municipality and, more broadly,”, wrote Ladrovci.
